Total Gas Plant

Total are constructing a major gas plant alongside the existing oil terminal at Sullom Voe, and Tulloch Developments have undertaken a range of associated work.

    Project Description

The list of tasks has included a substation for Scottish and Southern Energy, larger than those provided elsewhere in Shetland and incorporating a framed building with sheet cladding.

We’ve also worked with Morrison Construction on two sub-contracts. One of these was a £700,000 park-and-ride car park at Sella Ness, needed in order to allow BP terminal staff to have access to car parking during the period when large gas plant modules are being transported along the terminal access road from the Construction Jetty. The other was the construction of eight laybys along the terminal access road, needed to ensure that, in an emergency, vehicles can pass around the modules. These laybys involve heavy construction on the seaward side, where rock armouring is required.
