Project Description
A reinforced concrete slab was cast on a foundation of H piles driven to bedrock, to take and support the load of the loading ramp and module during the unloading of the decommissioning work at the Greenhead base.
48 H piles, 16meters long and made from 2inch thick steel were driven till bedrock, to support the gigantic weight of the module.
The concrete was poured all in the same day with a total of 108m³ being placed between 7.30am and 4pm in the only 2 R9 reimer mixer trucks.
